World Down Syndrome Day
World Down Syndrome Day – Saturday 21 March 2026.
Every year on 21 March, we celebrate this day as it represents the 21st chromosome present in people with Down Syndrome.
This year, the focus is on “Together Against Loneliness” so it is important to remember to include everyone. It is important to have good friendships and relationships and to feel valued.
Not only are we being asked to wear odd socks for this special day, but the Tree Tops team are also taking part in the Down Syndrome Sunflower Challenge🌻! Whether you are growing sunflowers or wearing odd socks, send us your 📷😄
Watch out for our updates over the coming weeks to see how our sunflowers are coming along. There will even be a prize for the tallest!
If you are a Tree Topper attending our intervention sessions, we still have a few sunflower seeds left if you would like one but get planting if you have your own and join in our competition!
